Its changed the way most companies do business, the credit squeeze is hitting all businesses. Some have more cash than others so they can cope with the sudden squeeze on cash flow but the problem remains. Suppliers are chasing invoices a lot faster than usual to keep there credit and debt exposure down.
Companies are getting twitchy about outstanding payments and the likelihood of a customer failing.
Capital investment decisions are being postponed due to lack of suitable funds, so major projects are being put on hold.
Activity levels have gone done no question of that, expenditure is being monitored very closely.
